HIAWATHA STREAMLINE PASSENGER SET. Original. c. 1935-41. One of
the premier Lionel sets of the late prewar era. For use on wide radius O72 track.
Very clean, the die cast end on the lead car and the die cast observation end
are solid, no warping to the passenger car bellypans. The motor runs smoothly but the
e-unit sticks, is erratic and the front pilot wheels are beginning to deteriorate, they
will need serviced for operating. The whistle works but should be lubricated,
all lights work. Original boxes except for the tender. The boxes have all
their end flaps and are all sealed on one end. Some chipping to the finish on the
nose of the engine keep me from grading the set C-7. It is a nice, clean, attractive
