LIONEL 255E, 263W, 613, 614, 615 c.1935. A one year only set from 1935. Original. This was the only year for the 255E and the only year that these cars came in red and silver. Being a one year only set combined with the fact that the frames on the majority of 255E's have self destructed because of impurities in the alloy used to cast the them, makes this a scarce set. The engine still retains it's original frame, it runs and reverses smoothly and the whistle works. The tender has a touch up along the top front edge, see photo. A nice example of a rare set.
