LIONEL 262E, 262T, 610, 610, 612

LIONEL 262E, 265T, 610, 610, 612. An uncataloged special c.1936. Nice original condition. The 262E loco runs and reverses smoothly. As with some uncataloged sets using this engine and tender combination, the 265T is actually a whistle tender without the whistle. One of Lionel's tricks to cut pricing to give retailers lower cost specials for promotional purposes. The Cars are the hard to find red and silver variation. Very clean. As you know the silver painted roofs often do not age well. These roofs are nice and have the proper patina which indicates they have never been cleaned or waxed which always subtly alters their appearance. These roofs are as they should be. A really nice set!
