LIONEL O GAUGE BLUE COMET

LIONEL BLUE COMET SET. c.1938-39. Original. Consists of 263E, 2263W, 2613, 2614, 2615 The set has been tested. The engine runs smoothly forward and reverse and both the head light and firebox light work. The whistle motor runs, but is noisy and doesn't produce a whistle sound. It's hard to see in the pictures but the tender frame is properly rubber stamped 2263W. The frame is straight as an arrow and the boiler front closes properly to the boiler. All the interior lights in the cars work and the spring latch roof mechanisms attach correctly. Blemishes to the finish of this set are quite minor, an outstanding set.

The boxes do have some wear, repairs and graffiti. Many of the flaps have been repaired and the loco box is missing one short flap and has a corner repair, but they still are decent boxes.
